2 weddings in one weekend!!

I had 2 weddings to attend this Memorial day weekend. Both were not formal weddings, one was just a BBQ to honor the newlyweds and the other was at a park. I cased the cuttlebug cake from someone on SCS, don't remember who at the moment. I really like the way it turned out. I plan to make up somemore to have on hand. I think it could also lend itself to birthdays too.

Bella for an old friend

I made this card for the teacher that i did my internship with almost 20 years ago!! Hard to believe I've been teaching that long!! She has since moved on to become a principal and now she has retired from the public school system and taken a job as a principal at a local church school. She was an awesome teacher to do my internship with and I hope that i can someday be as good as she was!!

Brookes bday card

I had a much easier time making the card than I did making the bucket!!
I used my new Patricia Birthdaycake stamp from http://www.stampingbella.com/! I love those bella stamps.
they stamp so nicely and are super easy to color, even for me who tends to be coloring challenged!
the background paper I picked up from Joann's recently , a paper stack with tons of pretty glittery papers! Perfect for a 5 year old.

brookes' birthday bucket

I got this bucket after Easter, it had pics of the Easter bunny on both sides so i figured I could cover it with paper and make it a birthday bucket for Brooke in May.
I don't know about anyone else but i have a terrrible time getting paper to stay around something round that is not even. what i mean is that the top of the bucket is bigger than the bottom so you have to taper off the paper to make it even. That is what the ribbon around the top and bottom is for! so you don't see how uneven the paper is!!
Note to self: no matter how cheap the container is. if it tapers off at the bottom, don't buy it, thinking OH I can do it!!!
I used some SU paper on the front and back, and used Sizzix letters to spell out her name.
Here again, I almost had to change her name to Broke, cause both those 'O's didnt want to fit nicely across the bucket!!
next post will be her card which I liked a lot better than the bucket!!

Cinco De Mayo cosmobella

I made this for a coworker with a bday on Cinco De Mayo. I had the base of the card for a while I made it at a class about a year ago. I knew I wanted to make her bday card with cosmobella, so i thought she might fit in that space and she did perfectly!! The cheer on the bottom is a rub on I've had for at least 2 years. i got a sheet of them at the dollar store before they were so popular!! I think she will really like it. i like the way it turned out. i have about 10 bella's now and this is the 1st one i've inked up. very easy to color and work with.
